I am an enthusiastic, well-read Teacher of Latin, Classics and Ancient Greek, whose positive energy, supportive approach and high expectations propel pupils to succeed. Having taught at three schools across Birmingham (independent, grammar, and mixed comprehensive), I have experience working with pupils who have a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. As such, I am able to tailor my teaching to pupils of any level of Latin learning. I believe in teaching ancient languages for the sake of understanding and appreciating the cultures from which they originate. I prepare my students to feel confident when approaching unfamiliar linguistic concepts, and facilitate their curiosity about ancient culture by providing accessible resources and recommendations, so that they develop a holistic, fortified understanding of the Classical discipline that will serve them well into their future, regardless of whether they continue to study it to a higher level.
