Kate R

Member since 2020 Mrs Kate R

Qualified and very experienced (nearly 20 years teaching) primary school teacher. I have taught all year groups in my career and am currently teaching two days a week in year 1 in a Buckinghamshire primary school. I can teach all subjects at EYFS, KS1 and KS2. I have also tutored 1-1 and in small groups children with a variety of needs and a variety of education levels. I encourage children to become the best learners possible through my creative style of teaching and will always try to instil a love of learning. My aim is to prioritise the child over the outcomes expected in education. I wish to see children thrive and enjoy learning and, although I will always aim for the very best level of achievement, my enjoyment of teaching is watching small learning steps and the confidence that the children gain from that to continue learning further.

Subjects: Primary, SEN and Learning Support, SATs

Cheryl M

French as a Second Language Additional Teaching Qualification, York University (2017). Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England by NCLT (2016). Certification of Qualification in Canada by Ontario College of Teachers (2014).

Member since 2020 Mrs Cheryl M

A Year 6 teacher with over five years’ experience teaching KS2 in the UK and in Canada. Having taught to the national curriculum in both countries, I recognise the learning expectations for each year group which helps me understand where the children have come from in their learning and what their targets should be. I consistently use formative and summative assessments to find gaps in pupil learning and then use this information to tailor resources and lessons to meet their needs (SEN inclusive).

Subjects: Primary, SEN and Learning Support, English, Chinese, 11+, 13+, School Entrance Exams, SATs
