Miss Siobhan G

I am a confident, outgoing science teacher specialising in biology. I am also confident in chemistry and physics. I have been at my current school for five years and currently teach KS3 and GCSE students following the AQA exam board. However I have tutored a lot of students who follow the edexcel qualification and am up to date on this. I strive to make all of science accessible and enjoyable for students, relating topics to real life, and working through areas student find tough until it clicks for them. I have taught a range of abilities and SEN needs while at my current school while also leading the STEM program, aiming to engage all students. My aim with tutoring is to spend the time with a student, understanding their barriers and working on any area that they need as much as they need until they feel more happy with it. This can then be built on using exam questions to cement their understanding and hopefully it is then embedded ready for exams.

SUBJECTS TAUGHT:
Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
Qualifications:
PGCE Science, Manchester Metropolitan University (2016). BSc (Hons) Equine Science, University of Lincoln (2012).

Mrs Suzette T

I am a fully qualified and experienced primary school teacher with over 18 years experience teaching years 1 to 6. I have taught in the London and Birmingham area with classes of mixed ability, with particular experience teaching children with special educational needs. I have taught upper Key Stage 2 for many years and am therefore very familiar with the demands and levels needed for the end of Key Stage SATs. In my last post in London I was responsible for English across a large Junior school and was a Key Stage 2 writing moderator for the Borough. I pride myself on giving my tutoring clients the same professionalism as I would a class of pupils, with lessons planned according to the needs of the child and the National Curriculum. You will find me a knowledgeable, friendly and approachable person with a nurturing, encouraging teaching style.

SUBJECTS TAUGHT:

I know what needs to be taught in preparation for the year ahead. I am skilled at making learning practical, engaging and accessible for all children. Under my guidance, children flourish because they trust me to help them understand when they are struggling and I do so in a supportive and encouraging manner that builds their confidence. Miss Chantelle W

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher based in Lichfield, currently working in an outstanding primary school in Walsall. I have a degree in Primary Education and have been working as a teacher for over two years, teaching predominantly in Key Stage 2. Over the last few years, I have been based in Lower Key Stage 2. Each year a high percentage of children within my class have made outstanding progress meeting the expected standard and higher in Reading, Writing and Maths. It is understandable that many parents currently, during this difficult time, feel that their children need an extra boost with their learning due to some of their schooling being disrupted. Therefore, I am offering home-based tuition or I am happy to travel to your home for primary school pupils. I can support children with homework they have been set, or I can work on any specific areas of English, Maths or Science that they might be finding difficult or lacking confidence with.

SUBJECTS TAUGHT:
Primary, SEN
Qualifications:
BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS, Birmingham City University (2019)
