Miss Mara G

Hello, I am a qualified and experienced Primary Teacher of nine years. I completed a degree in Key Stage 2/3 education, specialising in science. I love teaching, and it’s at the core of everything I do. Prior to completing my degree, I worked with children in nursery and after school clubs. I am currently the Creative Arts leader and full time Year 1 teacher at a primary school in Wandsworth and have ample experience in providing support for 11+ entrance exams, as well as all core subjects. I have taught in Years 1 - 6, a hearing support facility and years 7, 8 and 9 teaching the three sciences. During lockdown I recorded a range of videos to support my current class and would be happy to share links to these with you so you are aware of my teaching style - I would describe it as enthusiastic, fun and engaging. After all - children learn best when they are actively involved! I am passionate in providing lessons which inspire and support your child.

Mr William H

Developing an understanding of our world, and the interactions within it, is crucial for future generations. The speed of change and challenges that face children today are ever increasing. The importance of geography in creating adaptive and critical thinking is therefore vital for the younger generation to be prepared. Being an avid adventurer, I have seen first hand the destruction of our environment, through human activity. Recently working as a Geography teacher in an opportunity area (Bradford) I have equally identified the huge lack of cultural capital and geographical lens in the students. I therefore hope that I can inspire and motivate children to the importance of understanding our interaction with our world and the ways they can develop transferable skills for the future. I am a young, sporty and outgoing individual that loves the creativity and excitement that children bring and inspire in myself. I hope that I can provide, not just education, but also laughter and energy in difficult times.

Since gaining pedagogic training, I have expanded my repertoire, including experiences with SEN, such as ASD, ADD, ADHD, ODD, OCD, dyslexia, dyscalculia and many more spanning across Primary, Tertiary (FE) and Higher Education.
