Mrs Danielle W

I currently work within a two-form entry primary school in Salford as part of the government ‘Catch up’ scheme. I deliver targeted intervention lessons for mathematics and reading to years 3 and 4. The planning for these sessions is based on previous assessments and data to support and bridge the gaps in learning. I have adapted my teaching to suit the current climate and social distancing, whilst ensuring the learning that takes place is meaningful, memorable and engaging. For mathematics I use technology, mastery and concrete manipulatives to engage the children and fast track progress. Reciprocal reading is another focus, while also concentrating on inference this is executed using a variety of strategies and context to build up children’s investigative skills for comprehension.  I have worked in the Education sector for the past 6 years within a range of schools and Key Stages as a Teacher, Online Tutor and Supply Teacher. I use assessment to create individual targets and goals for the children.
