Mr Garry H

I am a businessman who teaches, with more than 15 years of teaching experience. As you will read from my work experience, I have spent most of my professional life working in the Media industry finishing with me running my own business. This gave me an excellent grounding in both the theory and practice of business. I have applied the same business principles to my teaching/lecturing work and as a result I have achieved good exam results for my students. For example, I achieved a 92% Pass rate for my undergrad students at Regents University London. This rate was maintained consistently from 2010 until my departure in 2017. My student feedback was positive and my ability to relate the course theories to my business experience did “bring them to life”.

Even though I specialise in English, I also teach all curriculum subjects for KS2 and 3 students. I also teach home-based children with ADHD, Aspergers and severe mental health problems. A certain amount of pastoral care and psychological empathy is also required on a daily basis.
