Miss Stacey J

I have twenty years of teaching experience and have taught both in the UK and internationally. My subjects are History and Politics. I have led several very academic and successful departments at independent schools in the UK and in Tanzania, Cairo and Armenia. I teach KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, A level and IB. I have worked with AQA, Edexcel and the IB recently. In addition, I have been an examiner for AQA and IB. My ethos is to try and instil a love of learning in every student I teach. I want them to be empowered and really want to learn more about the topics they are studying after they have finished their set tasks in class.

Mrs Hannah E

I'm a geeky, enthusiastic physics teacher of 14 years who is passionate about helping students to understand physics and not be scared of it. I've taught a wide range of abilities from ages 10 to 18 and have had excellent results at Common Entrance, GCSE, A-Level, IB Diploma (Higher and Standard), and Oxbridge admissions tutoring. Good tutoring requires clear explanations, checking for understanding and misconceptions, and using resources, demonstrations and lots of practice to help the students to realise that yes, they CAN do this and get the grades they want! Students have described me as "approachable" and "easy to understand". For students who are wanting to be challenged and perhaps go beyond the bounds of their current course or prepare for university, I have experience with Gifted and Talented students and enjoy bringing that spark of further knowledge and curiosity to them.

SUBJECTS TAUGHT:
Science, Physics, Common Entrance, 13+, School Entrance Exams
Qualifications:
MA (Ed), Durham University (2009). PGCE Secondary Science, Durham University (2007). BSc Physics (Astrophysics), Durham University (2006).
