Miss Lauren W

I am a happy, enthusiastic teacher with a love for learning. I have taught all year groups within the Primary phase, in a range of different schools, with good experience of Key Stage 1 and 2 SATs, 11+ entry exams and working with children with a vast array of Special Educational Needs. I am currently tutoring in my local area after 11 years in the classroom and what I love the most is seeing children progress in both English and maths. Using the foundations to build and enrich their learning in order to be able to become a critical thinker and independent learner. Seeing how well a child succeeds in their learning makes my job so worthwhile. My favourite thing about being a teacher is building a positive learning environment for the children to work in and a trusting relationship in order for them to achieve their absolute best. Just spending time with children who love to learn - there is nothing better! I also believe in encouraging children to achieve their full ability - no glass ceilings!

SUBJECTS TAUGHT:
Primary, SEN, 11+, SATs, School Entrance Exams
Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status. BA (Hons) Primary Education, University Winchester (2010).
