Member since 2020 Mrs Linda H

I am a qualified and experienced teacher of maths and I have taught in schools and FE colleges in the UK and Australia. I have been teaching for over 20 years now and I love the variety it brings; I have been a teacher, a pastoral tutor, a head of department and an assistant head teacher, teaching mathematics and further mathematics to all ages from 11 to 90. I love working with students to enable them to maximise their potential and ensure that they have the grade needed to allow them to progress to whatever their next step may be.

I have a passion for education and learning, and for English and History. I am very self-motivated, well organised, excellent at timekeeping, driven to achieve my goals and ambitions, support students to achieve theirs and engage with my own CPD. I have experience of teaching and supporting a diverse range of students, and experience of teaching in different educational settings. As part of my PGCE, I worked at City College Plymouth teaching Functional Skills and GCSE English to young adults and mature learners. Since then I have taught KS3 and KS4 English as a Supply Teacher, have worked as a Personal Tutor to a GCSE student and have taught EAL students at the Europa Summer School, the Meridian School and at Mercator. I firmly believe that everyone should have an equal opportunity to succede and that all educational environments be a safe place. As a result, I am fully committed to upholding safeguarding, equality and diversity policies and procedures.
