Mr Abed A

*Voted as best teacher of the year 2019* --> https://www.tes.com/news/tes-awards-new-teacher-year-award-winner I have been teaching for 5 years across all key stages and was responsible of improving teaching and learning in my second school. I am Head of Maths department in my new current school (King Edward's). I have been teaching online since March 2020, very experienced with technology. As for my teaching style, I assess for prior knowledge in every lesson through mini whiteboards. I provide many worked examples with opportunities for students to attempt similar examples (I do, we do and you do). My examples are varied to expose students to all types of questions. I expose students to fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions. I check for understanding regularly during my lessons through mini whiteboards and questioning. I assess if students have learnt something before they leave. I can respond to student’s needs immediately by adapting my lessons. I am happy to tutor physically too.
