I have secured my first job as an ECT for September 2022 as a primary teacher in Croydon. Having completed my PGCE at MMU my experience to date includes working in 3 diverse schools. These include 2 placements in Manchester and additional experience working as a learning assistant at a school in Madrid. Additionally, I worked for Children without Limits, an organisation aimed at supporting children from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping to close the attainment gap. I believe that my experience in such diverse schools, with such different achievement levels, as well as working with children who speak English as a second language, has given me the opportunity as an educator to think ‘outside the box’ and to draw on different methods to ensure progression.
