I have been teaching in primary schools for the past 18 years. My teaching career has spanned all primary year groups but I specialise in Year 5/6 and still currently teach one day per week in these year groups. As a primary teacher, I am to teach all subjects. Six years ago, I studied for two years to gain my Primary Maths Specialist Status and have used this to develop maths in both my own and other schools. I also tutor KS2 and KS3 children during my spare time and love to see the progress a child can make in a one-to-one session. I have recently finished work as a Maths consultant for an educational resource company where I developed Maths products for primary children. In my spare time I am an avid tennis player, walker and I also play badminton.
