My name is Evie Davies, and I have recently graduated with a first-class degree in Primary Education (5-11) with QTS from Sheffield Hallam University. I have completed my placements in Y2, Y4 and Y5, meaning I have experience of teaching a wide range of age groups. As well as this, during my studies I spent 3 months working as a teaching assistant in reception where I developed my understanding of and ability to teach early maths, writing, reading and phonics. I am currently working as a TA in Y1 and will be starting work as a Y5 class teacher in January. Outside of teaching, I have worked as a dance teacher at a performing arts school and also as a sports coach at a children's summer camp. I have a level 1 qualification in Makaton, am trained to deliver LEAP (speech and language support) sessions, and have experience working with children with SEND. I am passionate about helping children to gain the skills and knowledge that they need to help them to achieve their future goals.
