I’m a very experienced Psychology Teacher, with over 25 years experience. Previously, I was Head of Psychology at an outstanding school in the Midlands, teaching both AQA and OCR A level. Psychology was the 2nd most popular A level choice and students generally exceeded their target grades. Currently, I work as an independent educational consultant. I work for both AQA and OCR as an examiner and a CPD trainer. This gives me a unique insight into the examination system which I can pass on to my students. I have a proven track record of enabling students to exceed their potential in Psychology. I have a wealth of experience supporting students with autistic spectrum disorders, dyslexia and general anxiety disorders. I also work as an author and write resources, articles and books for psychology students and teachers and I’m treasurer for the Association for the Teaching of Psychology (www.theatp.uk). On a personal level, I am married with two grown-up daughters, three grandchildren and a cat called Nancy.

Miss Kelly H

I am currently an English and Maths Tutor at an Alternative Provision in Nottingham. There I teach students 1:1 due to their additional needs. I have over eight years’ experience working with children additional needs. I have done so in a range of settings including therapeutic schools, SEN schools and community projects. I have supported students with a range of needs including but not limited to dyslexia, autism, ADHD and emotional and behavioural difficulties. I have taught through all the primary key stages including EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I have also taught secondary age students who due to their additional needs are working to a primary curriculum. In my current role I teach Functional Skills and GCSE English. This includes entry level, level, and level 1.

Miss Jennifer C

I am a qualified secondary maths specialist with two decades' experience in teaching and tutoring, currently supporting students from Key Stage 2 up to A Level within school settings, outside of school hours, in home-education settings and in international schools (iGCSE). I have been Deputy Head of Faculty in a mainstream comprehensive and examine for a number of exam boards, and can therefore support students both aiming for the highest grades and those who might have low confidence in their mathematical ability. I have a particular interest in working with students with additional needs and experience with students who have dyscalculia, ASD, hearing impairments, SEMH, and specific learning difficulties, most latterly as Head of Department in a specialist SEN secondary school. My teaching is consistently characterised by being flexible and person-centred, building a rapport that enables each individual to maximise their potential in maths.
