Abingdon, also known as Abingdon-on-Thames, is a historic market town set in rural Oxfordshire. It has been in the administrative county of Oxfordshire since 1974, but historically, it was the county town of Berkshire. Abingdon lies south of Oxford and north of Didcot in the Thames Valley, where the River Ock flows in from the Vale of White Horse.
