Mr Steven B

Hello prospective student! I have over ten years of experience teaching languages in the northwest of England. I have taught in secondary schools (such as Manchester High School for Girls) and a number of sixth form colleges (Priestley College, Marple Sixth Form College). I teach German, Latin and Classical Greek. I am also able to teach English Language for those students wishing to brush up on grammar, vocabulary, written style and speaking skills. My experience is mainly in the secondary sector, though I am happy to teach older primary students (yr 5/6). I can teach the above languages to complete beginners through to those preparing for exams. The first thing I do is discuss with you the needs of your child and then tailor a specific programme. Feel very free to get in touch for further information or to have a chat about a possible programme of language tuition.

Mr Nicholas R

I am currently tutoring in Latin at all levels from Beginners through to Common Entrance, GCSE and A Level. I was an Assistant Examiner in GCSE Latin language with the OCR Examination Board for five years, and was recently appointed as Latin expert and teacher at Oxford Education Online. At Common Entrance Level, I have successfully tutored boys in Latin to enable them to gain places at Eton College and Magdalen College School, Oxford, so I am acutely aware of the high standard of Latin required for success in both Common Entrance and individual school entrance examinations. I am currently tutoring two Year 8 students at private schools in the Midlands in Latin and will work with them until they take their GCSE exams in this subject, and at Oxford Education Online, I am teaching both Year 10 and Year 11 Latin. In addition to Latin, I can also offer Common Entrance tuition in French.
