I am an enthusiastic and committed teacher with over twenty years experience of teaching in secondary schools. I have taught Latin at all levels, from beginners to Y13. I have tutored students whose schools do not offer Latin from scratch to GCSE. I have taught Classical Civilisation A level with excellent results since 2010 and am currently tutoring a Y13 student in the Greek Religion and in the Imperial Image unit. I really enjoy tutoring as as the lesson can respond to the individual learning needs and styles of the pupils, enabling them to make very rapid progress compared to a classroom. I am a qualified and experienced Classics teacher, currently working at The Tiffin Girls' School, having taught at Dulwich College previously. I have taught ages 10-18+ and currently teach and tutor Common Entrance Latin (ISEB), OCR Latin GCSE and A-Level, OCR Ancient Greek GCSE and A- Level and Classical Civilisation A-Level. In order to deepen my understanding of how to achieve the highest grades at A-Level, I have worked as an OCR examiner for two years. When tutoring, it is really important to me that each session is tailored to the individual, so that they can leave the session satisfied at having made good progress. I get a great sense of satisfaction from enabling my students to understand and enjoy the ancient languages, as well helping them achieve the highest grades they can.
