Hi, my name is Smita and I have been teaching for 13 years. I am a qualified teacher and I have a Masters in Education Practice. I currently work as a teacher teaching maths and English. I teach primary, secondary, GCSE and functional skills. I specialise in working with children and adults with learning needs. I have many years of experience working with dyslexia, dyscalculia and autism. I have worked at a large Leicester college teaching maths and English to the hardest to reach disengaged youth in the community. I specialise in teaching people who may not want to fully engage and engaging them back into learning. I teach using a variety of methods and to cater to learning needs. I teach subject content and prepare students for exams. I encourage students to voice any difficulties they may have or share what works well for them so that I can adjust the teaching to make it more appropriate. I am a Fully Qualified and very experienced Primary Teacher for over 10 years currently teaching at Southam Primary School. I have taught in a range of schools catering for a plethora of children’s needs and abilities. I can personalise my teaching to suit the needs of your child and can quickly adapt to get the most out of every session we have. I have taught across and am currently teaching the infant Primary Curriculum in Year one. I have taught EYFS and have a strong knowledge of where children’s learning begins.
