I am a qualified and experienced practising English teacher, with extensive experience teaching English at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 in both independent and state schools. I am also currently teaching on the teacher training course sharing Ofsted Outstanding Teaching Practice. I have an excellent proven record of success at GCSE and IGCSE English, with 100% pass rate for the past three years at Level 4 above, with a number of students exceeding their target grades. I also taught a re-sit GCSE group that all passed with at least a grade 4; some of the students had previously only achieved a Level 2. A number of my students have also achieved the very top Grade 9 at GCSE and I offer both support and extensive stretch and challenge in my lessons. I am passionate about my subject and this is key in promoting student engagement and academic success. I am also a current team leader for GCSE and A Level English exam marking.
