Lessons are fun, engaging, and tailor made to your child's needs using lots of discussion, games, outdoor learning and visual and creative ways to ensure successful and positive learning outcomes. I encourage the children to be independent learners, resilient and persevere with challenging tasks and to have a positive learning outlook. I can teach all subjects within the Primary National Curriculum, to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, across all ages and abilities. I also have extensive experience in teaching SEND and "reluctant" students both in primary and secondary schools. I also support children to get successfully get through the 10+ and 11+ exams and SATS. I am also experienced in teaching English as a second language both for adults and children and am CELTA qualified.

Mrs Megan F

My name is Megan and I am a mum to two young children. I am currently taking a break from permanent classroom teaching while my children are preschool age and am currently tutoring and supply teaching. I qualified as a primary school teacher in 2014 (having previously worked in local government) and have since taught both KS1 and KS2 including year 2 and year 6 and have also tutored children across both key stages. Whilst in my role as a Class Teacher I have also taken on several leadership roles including Science Subject Leader and Curriculum Leader. I have experience teaching children with SEN including autism, selective mutism and children with behavioural difficulties. I also offer 11+ tutoring and I am familiar with the CSSE format. In my teaching, I follow a child-led approach to identify and address misconceptions and to build upon prior learning. I strive to make learning fun whilst also challenging the children to achieve their fullest potential. I can provide homework if required.
