Mrs Rebecca P

Hello, my name is Rebecca. I'm an English/ History teacher with a record of students making progress. I create bespoke lesson and revision materials in order to support students and provide intervention in preparation for examinations. I am taking part in the national tutoring programme (NTP) for English and History supporting those affected the pandemic. I teach across the age and ability range: English and Humanities at key stage 2, History from Key Stages 3 through to GCSE and A Level; English at GCSE; Religious Education and Geography from Key Stage 3 through to GCSE. I examine for Edexcel (GCSE History and Moderator for A Level History) and have taught across exam boards and specifications for both English and History (AQA/ WJEC and OCR). I also have SEN and EAL experience. On a personal note, I am a musician and a keen member of an amateur dramatics group and love walking having just recently completed Hadrian's Wall coast to coast. Mr Rikie F

I am a fully qualified secondary school History teacher and experienced Head of Department with over 18 years post-qualification teaching experience. I have extensive experience of preparing students for public examinations including GCSE, IGCSE and A-level, across all major examination boards. I have also acted as an examiner at both GCSE and A-Level for the OCR and Edexcel examination boards giving me a thorough understanding of the requirements for success in these qualifications. Over the past 18 months my main mode of tutoring has been through online platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. I have lots of experience in delivering individual tutoring sessions as well as full-class teaching sessions over these platforms which have become an integral part of tutoring / teaching during the Covid pandemic.
