Hi there, my name is Dan Elson and I’m a History Teacher at Marling School in Stroud, a grammar school with a mixed 6th Form. I’ve been teaching History for 9 years and really love my subject. I teach Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, so my subject knowledge is quite extensive, with specialisms in a number of areas, such as: The Vietnam War, the American Civil War & Westward Expansion, The Middle East 1908-2011 and the Early Tudors. All of these are examples of A Level courses I have taught at Marling. I’ve also begun to do public sessions, for example about the Vietnam War, as I really enjoy sharing my passion for the subject. I love teaching and helping people to see the themes and lessons of history. I do tutoring sessions for GCSE & A Level with my school already, so have experience of additional sessions beyond the classroom. I’m eager to add to this.
