Miss Sammy M

I am a year 5 primary school teacher based in Oxfordshire. I have always loved both Maths and English and studied both up until A level: I firmly believe that there is no such thing as a 'maths' or an 'English' person and that every child can excel at both subjects. I have experience working with children with SEN, including students with dyslexia, autism and ADHD. I am a child-centred tutor and therefore adapt my teaching style to suit the specific child and this creates an environment which promotes considerable academic advancement. I have experience tutoring children from year 1 up until year 13 and really enjoy working with children and seeing them achieve their full potential. If you'd like to know anything further, please get in touch. I look forward to working with you and your child!

I can also offer bespoke, intensive tutoring to support preparations for School Entrance exams, GCSE re-sits and UCAS applications to Russell Group universities. I currently work full time as a teacher educator, training new teachers in person and over digital platforms, so I know what good teaching looks like. Mrs Kelly M

I was most recently employed to teach History and Politics at Cheltenham Ladies’ College. Whilst at CLC, I taught across all year groups. I taught both A level History and Politics, as well as IB History. My areas of specialism were American History, Russian History (from the end of the Tsars to the establishment of the Soviet Union, and the European Union. I also taught IGCSE History, covering European History from the end of WW1 to the collapse of the Soviet Union, with an in-depth study of Germany from 1918-1945. Additionally, throughout my time at CLC, I was a pastoral tutor to 6th form girls, wherein one of my roles was to help them in crafting their personal statements. Prior to teaching at CLC, I worked as a History teacher at Cheney School in Oxford. I taught across all year groups and specialised in teaching Renaissance History and the Crusades at A level. I am not currently teaching within a school environment, having decided to take some extended time away following the birth of my son.
