I am a qualified Primary School Teacher, with 7 years KS1 and KS2 teaching experience. I am currently a year 5 teacher, planning and delivering lessons to a wide range of children including EAL (English as an additional language) and SEN children. For the past few years, I have also provided private tuition to children who require additional support in KS1 and KS2 SATs preparation as well as entrance examination support for schools across the Merseyside region. In addition to this, I provide general support with maths and English, where I prioritise knowing the learning style of each individual child to provide them with a tailor made learning experience that matches their unique needs exactly.

Qualified and experienced English teacher, with some experience teaching history, and previous experience as a private piano and music teacher. I have a love for literature, and enjoy teaching poetry, helping students with studying novels, and also helping develop creative writing in young people. I have worked with AQA exam board, in both the Literature and Language GCSE papers. In addition I have homeschooled my own children, using Edexcel iGCSE subject, and am familiar with the homeschooling exam process and options. I have taught in catholic schools, worked in a challenging SEND school, and also in mainstream academies.I have also taught history at KS3, and love how English and History so often link with each other.

I am the Head of Humanities and Personal Development at Byrchall High School in Wigan. I have been teaching for over 20 years now in a variety of educational settings. I currently teach both History and Religious Studies to GCSE level. I am passionate about helping young people develop a thirst for learning in both History and RE, and achieve their potential. As Head of Personal Development I also seek to engender a positive mind set in students and encourage resilience, a growth mind set and a lifelong love of learning. I have also been a Team Leader for AQA GCSE History for the last 6 years and can teach across a range of exam boards.

Qualified and experienced secondary teacher of maths, geography and music, with experience also in teaching GCSE history and RE. With 25 years experience teaching, subject leadership and senior leadership with responsibilities for sixth form and teaching and learning. I have worked successfully tutoring students 1:1 maths and geography, I also teach the flute and music theory enabling students to gain distinctions in ABRSM exams across the grades, and finally I work with students to gain functional skills in maths and English in order to progress in their careers or make the next step to go to College or embark on an apprenticeship. With a good understanding of exam and assessment requirements getting those grades is a combination of tutoring subject knowledge and exam technique. I am an experienced, qualified languages (French & Spanish) teacher based in a Manchester school. I have now branched out into teaching History, Geography and Psychology. I have an undergraduate degree in History and a masters degree in Psychology alongside my PGCE in French. I also have extensive experience of SEN. I currently work on an alternative pathways course that caters for children who are not accessing mainstream education. Therefore, parents seeking support for children with autism, dyslexia or behavioural difficulties, feel free to contact me for support. I am able to offer my subjects up to GCSE and I can also offer French to A-level. I am also experienced in secondary transition and would be happy to help year sixes as they make the transition to secondary, for a happier start in September. My passion is to instil a love for learning in others. I teach for a love of a subject but can also appreciate the need to gain excellent exam results, in an ever more competitive world.

I am currently working for Holy Cross college, a 'top 20' performing sixth form, in Bury, teaching Sociology and Criminology at KS5. Team leader examiner for AQA Sociology (A-Level) and examining experience for A-Level Psychology. I have experience of all major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, WJEC and OCR. SEN experience. UCAS and Personal statement (with specialism in Russell Group university entrance) experience. I trained at a wide variety of secondary schools throughout my training, including an all girls Church of England Schools, as well as a school in a more deprived area of Liverpool, so have experience dealing with challenging behaviour and disadvantaged pupils. Currently I am employed as a supply teacher in Liverpool and throughout Merseyside, giving me the opportunity to teach in a wide variety of schools, ranging from top performing schools, to smaller schools as well as a Pupil Referral Unit.
