I have been the Dyslexia Consultant for an inner-city senior school, assessing children's needs and supporting the teachers to be able to help them. I am patient and understanding and believe that each learner is unique with their own talents and areas of success. I have a daughter with learning difficulties who has written a book. I am a specialist in Functional Skills, English and Maths. I have taught Citizenship and am able to teach History and social sciences up to GCSE level.

Qualified and experienced teacher of History and EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) for six years. Taking a break from full time teaching to pursue a Masters degree at the University of York. I have taught Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level History. Experience teaching a wide range of historical topics including the Norman Conquest, the Tudors, Russia 1894-1941, British Medicine 1250-present, Weimar Republic and Nazi Germany 1918-1939 and USA CIvil Rights 1865-1992. Miss Lynne C

Qualified and experienced teacher of English Language and English Literature, with 21 years of experience teaching in local secondary schools, across all ability and age ranges. I started as a classroom teacher and then progressed to a Head of English and Assistant Head Teacher. Throughout my teaching career, I have continued to carry out tutoring and have found that alongside working on academic knowledge that building confidence is as equally important and this comes from finding out what a student is interested in, what they think they are struggling with and then using this as a foundation to build upon and strengthen English skills.
