Mr Matthew C

I am an experienced, highly qualified History teacher based in a Manchester school. As is the case for many, I also have experience of teaching French, Geography and Psychology. I have an undergraduate degree in History and a masters degree in Psychology alongside my PGCE . I also have extensive experience of SEN. I currently work on an alternative pathways course that caters for children who are not accessing mainstream education. Therefore, parents seeking support for children with autism, dyslexia or behavioural difficulties, feel free to contact me for support. I am able to offer History + Psychology up to GCSE and I can also offer French to A-level. I am also experienced in secondary transition and would be happy to help year sixes as they make the transition to secondary, for a happier start in September. Dr Leif J

I am a supportive, but focused, qualified teacher in history and politics. My history teaching has focused on the Early Modern and Modern periods: 16th and 17th century Spain, France, Britain and Germany, and the Witchcraze. I transform learners' confidence and knowledge through clear, actionable guidance in engaging, supportive, challenging tutorials. I can also support history coursework - I was a consultant to OCR on the specifications and teaching of the independent research project. This clear, actionable guidance is based on my love for the subjects, my extensive experience and success in the classroom, and a thorough knowledge of how to excel in key exams for all major boards, built on more than a decade of examining for AQA, OCR, Pre-U and IB. I have worked extensively with learners with ADHD, ASD and dyslexia, and enjoy finding ways of building confidence so that learners can excel in every situation.
