I am a secondary qualified teacher of humanities specialising in teaching Geography through to A level and History up to GCSE. I trained at a wide variety of secondary schools throughout my training, including an all girls Church of England Schools, as well as a school in a more deprived area of Liverpool, so have experience dealing with challenging behaviour and disadvantaged pupils. Currently I am employed as a supply teacher in Liverpool and throughout Merseyside, giving me the opportunity to teach in a wide variety of schools, ranging from top performing schools, to smaller schools as well as a Pupil Referral Unit.

A very experienced teacher of almost 20 years who has taught all around the world in both Primary and Secondary areas, recently teaching at Cheadle Hulme School, currently offering home tuition. I am a classically trained History teacher who has written textbooks for Oxford University Press and Heinemanns as well as producing content for BBC Bitesize Revision. Teaches History from Key Stage 2 through to GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level and also able to teach Politics to A Level and RE, Geography and Sociology to GCSE. For the last two years I have been tutoring primary age children in preparation for private and grammar school entrance exams. My tutees have successfully passed Blue Coat, Cheadle Hulme, St Anselms and Upton Hall exams. I have also been drafted into to local primary schools to tutor primary age children in Maths, English, History, Geography as well as verbal reasoning and STEAM. I am currently part of the Covid Catch Up team supporting primary schools on the Wirral.

I am a well qualified and experienced (seven years) Geography teacher that has taught in three outstanding schools in Bromsgrove, Stockport and Manchester at KS3-KS5. I am a current Head of Geography (3 years experience) as well as Senior Head of House which highlights my competence as a teacher. I have also been a mentor to newly qualified teachers (NQTs) for the past 5 years which, again, shows my teaching ability. Outside of school, I work in the Summer as an examiner for AQA meaning that I have a good understanding of exam technique which I use to get the best out of my students. I am very passionate about both my subject and seeing my students achieve their potential. As such, I fully engage with all of the latest educational research in order to deliver high quality teaching to all of my students. Retrieval practice, spaced learning and deliberate practice of the core knowledge and exam technique are the methods I use to maximise the progress of my students.

I am a well-qualified, enthusiastic and supportive Geography teacher with ten years’ experience teaching across all three key stages. I am currently teaching A Level Geography (Edexcel specification) at Pendleton Sixth Form College but I also have extensive experience of the AQA GCSE and A Level specification. I have been an AQA examiner for the past four years and therefore have a very good understanding of what is required to reach the highest grades at GCSE.

I am currently a full time Geography teacher at a Grammar School in South Manchester. I have over 7 years teaching experience at GCSE and A Level. I can tutor for Geography and entrance exams (11+). I can now offer online as well as face-to-face tuition. Additionally I mark GCSE and A Level papers for AQA which gives me an in depth understanding of the requirements for the exam. I am also a Team Leader for AQA, managing other teachers through the marking process and quality checking papers. Working in a Grammar School and living in South Manchester for 30 years I also have a good understanding of the entrance exam requirements and can deliver 11+ tuition. I have a degree in Geography (2:1) and a Masters in environmental studies. Further to this I have also completed a PGCE in Geography education (distinction). Working with students one to one I can create a bespoke plan in order to most help achieve their target grade.
