I am passionate about making the world a fairer and more equal place. Everyone, no matter their starting point, deserves the right to have a quality education. I am highly motivated and enthusiastic. Through education, creativity and positivity I inspire and encourage those who I work with. I strive to improve the well-being of others. In my most recent teaching role, I have taught KS3, GCSE and A level geography to a range of different ability students. I was required to have a knowledge of students and provide appropriate differentiated learning materials, embedding retrieval quizzes into lessons. I created schemes of work for KS3 and supported with GCSE lesson creation content and resources. I also have experience tutoring online and in person, building student confidence and achieving great results. By utilising a holistic approach I support and lead to ensure the world is a better place for all.

I have been a teacher for over 10 years and currently work at Bexley Grammar School. I teach all year groups as well as being a post sixteen tutor. I am responsible for planning all the lessons, resources and assessments for AQA GCSE Geography across the department. I have also been an AQA examination marker of the unit 2 human geography paper. I teach high quality lessons using up to date examples and case studies that are inline with the AQA geographical specification. This includes the DME and fieldwork that are apart of unit 3 paper. I have positive relationships with my students and support and challenge student progress so that students meet their full potential. I am happy to deliver live lessons and provide feedback to students online. I have experience of using google classroom and zoom. I teach IB geography to year 12 and 13, with a focus on the core units and option topics of urban environments and hazards. I have delivered IA on the river Darent with all students being awarded a grade 6 or 7
