My background revolves around Qualified SENCO, Specialist Leader in Education (SLE in Geography) Head of faculty and several other academic and pastoral-inclined leadership positions. I have been teaching for over 31 years and have gained a wealth of international experience. I have taught across a range of Humanities subjects including Geography to GCSE and A-level, IGCSE Global Perspective, KS3 English and History. I have been a teacher for over 10 years and currently work at Bexley Grammar School. I teach all year groups as well as being a post sixteen tutor. I am responsible for planning all the lessons, resources and assessments for AQA GCSE Geography across the department. I have also been an AQA examination marker of the unit 2 human geography paper. I teach high quality lessons using up to date examples and case studies that are inline with the AQA geographical specification. This includes the DME and fieldwork that are apart of unit 3 paper. I have positive relationships with my students and support and challenge student progress so that students meet their full potential. I am happy to deliver live lessons and provide feedback to students online. I have experience of using google classroom and zoom. I teach IB geography to year 12 and 13, with a focus on the core units and option topics of urban environments and hazards. I have delivered IA on the river Darent with all students being awarded a grade 6 or 7
