My degree has allowed me to also offer Humanities and Philosophy and Ethics courses to Advanced level. I am an ex BBC employee trained in Sound and Video production and have used this in the teaching of Media Studies. I have QTS from 1990 and a current DBS on the update service. I have taught since 1990. In addition to working in mainstream comprehensive, I have worked with Adult Learners as well as running a PRU and an in-school Inclusion unit which has had demonstrable success in school progress levels over time. I am a firm candidate for this position with a clear vision as to how it would develop in the school community. Mr Thomas C

I am an enthusiastic and dedicated humanities tutor based in the Merseyside region. Following the completion of my NQT year in December 2016, I have since worked in a variety of teaching environments with experience of catering for pupils of all abilities and with a diverse range of educational needs. Having completed a bachelor’s degree in Geography, as well having chosen it as my specialism during my PGCE year, I am an expert in my field and have a track record of delivering engaging and challenging teaching in the subject across all secondary key stages. Currently I also work part-time as a lecturer in A-Level Geography at Hugh Baird College, Merseyside, a position that has allowed me to further enhance my knowledge and understanding of the key stage five Geography curriculum for the benefit of my tutees. I have also previously taught History to key stages three and four during previous positions, having built upon my A level in the subject to gain a solid understanding of the subject’s curriculum.

Mr Luke D

Education professional with a background in Primary School teaching- eight years worth of experience working in Devon and Greater Manchester working across KS2 primarily- working as a classroom teacher, French specialist teacher, PPA teacher and Art specialist teacher. Moreover, I also supported groups of children with their 11+ examinations for entry to grammar school. I am a Fine Art, French and English Language specialist having both tutored these subjects to both children and adults. I have knowledge of the 11+ exams and have current active experience of tutoring English and Maths. I believe in a question led approach to tutoring where the student takes on an active role in their learning. Being a visual and kin-aesthetic ( learn by doing) learner myself, I believe that promoting subjects using a variety of methods is immersive and engaging. I am currently a full time Geography teacher at a Grammar School in South Manchester. I have over 7 years teaching experience including both GCSE and A Level. I can tutor for Geography and entrance exams (11+). I can now offer online as well as face-to-face tuition. Additionally I mark GCSE and A Level papers for AQA which gives me an in depth understanding of the requirements for the exam. I am also a Team Leader for AQA, managing other teachers through the marking process and quality checking papers. Working in a Grammar School and living in South Manchester for 30 years I also have a good understanding of the entrance exam requirements and can deliver 11+ tuition. I have a degree in Geography (2:1) and a Masters in environmental studies. Further to this I have also completed a PGCE in Geography education (distinction).
