With over fifteen years of employment in Secondary Education in both state and independent sectors, I have extensive and varied experience of teaching Geography across the 10-18 age range. I have run highly successful departments and led numerous field trips. Some of my significant achievements include 82% A*/A for my GCSE cohort in 2015 (leading one of the most successful departments in the school) and 100% A*-C for A2 results in 2015 and 2017. Throughout my teaching career, I have developed many transferable skills including competence in I.T., people management and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. I am highly motivated, reliable and have excellent organisational skills.

Qualified and experienced High School Geography and History teacher for over 20 years. 3 years in the UK (1997-2000) and then 17 in Perth Western Australia where I continued to teach Humanities until I returned to live back in Brighton in 2018. In 2017 I won a teachers magazine award in Australia for their 'Unsung Hero'. In 2016 my Year 12 Geography class were one of the 10 highest scoring classes in Western Australia. I have travelled extensively and have been to all 7 continents including Antarctica and often use case studies where I can in my work.
