Just a few of our French teachers in Kent

Mrs Verena C

I am a native German speaker and Head of the German department at a successful Grammar School in the South East. In addition to that I also work as an examiner for several exam boards and I train trainee teachers of German to become German teachers. I have been teaching German up to A-Level for over 15 years at Grammar School level, whilst privately tutoring any age group, including primary school children, adults who wish to learn the German language from scratch and university students who study the language at degree level. In 2019 I was awarded the German Teacher of the Year award by the Embassy of Switzerland.

SUBJECTS TAUGHT:

Mrs Andrea J

I have 26 years experience as a teacher. In that time I have worked in a wide variety of both large and small settings from grammar to comprehensive schools, both state and independent. I have tutored pupils in a one to one setting throughout my career as and when time allowed. Unfortunately it has become increasingly hard to “make a difference” in a typical state school environment which is why I have made the decision to focus my time on providing one to one tuition moving forward - whether that’s helping an 11 plus candidate access the school they deserve or ensuring a GCSE English student attains the best grade they are capable of. I believe I have a good understanding of what a pupil’s true potential is. More importantly I have amassed a wide range of tools in my arsenal to enable them to achieve this potential. I entered the teaching profession because I wanted to make a difference. Nothing is more satisfying than taking someone who has been told “they can’t” and showing them that actually “they can”.
