Qualified and experienced Primary and Secondary School Teacher, with nearly twenty years' experience across all Key Stages and ages, including time as a Headteacher. Currently working as an English teacher in a local secondary school. Teaches English Language from Primary through to GCSE and IGCSE; English Literature from Key Stage 3 to A Level; and Key Stage 3 History. Also supports Primary English and French. I am a friendly, innovative and creative teacher and leader (I have also been a Headteacher and completed new school start ups) with both national and international experience. I fully understand current educational practice and tailor my teaching to the specific needs of my pupils in a fun, nurturing and enjoyable way.

I currently teach languages from Reception to Year 8, with a focus on preparing pupils to enter their chosen senior schools at the end of Year 8, either through the Common Entrance examinations, or the Bristol Schools entrance examinations. Prior to my current job, I lived in France where I taught English to a wide range of ages, including adults and children. I like to provide a fun, yet challenging language learning experience, and I offer an engaging and confidence-building approach for those facing exams.

Recently finished teaching at a private school in Oxfordshire, now Supply Teaching. 'I am half-French and grew up in Germany, attending a German school but completed my secondary studies at an international school studying the International Baccalaureate, before moving to the UK for my university studies.'

I am a qualified and experienced Primary Teacher and have taught in a wide variety of schools across all primary year groups since then. Most recently I have been working as both a private tutor and a supply teacher in the local area. I am able to tutor pupils in both KS1 and KS2 and in all primary subjects which includes English, maths and basic skills. I am also able to provide support for pupils who need confidence boosting in their studies. Over the years I have successfully prepared many children for KS1 and KS2 SATs tests and for the 11+ Grammar school entrance test. I am also able to provide support with home schooling. I tailor all my sessions to an individual child's particular needs and we always work at their own pace to enable them to gain the most from sessions. My aim is for sessions to be enjoyable, yet relaxed, in order for pupils to reach their full potential.
