Qualified and experienced native French teacher. I have over fifteen years experience teaching primary, secondary and adults including corporate clients. I am acquainted with GCSE, IGCSE, A level across all the major Exam Boards. Additionally, I can support preparations for School Entrance Exams. My teaching approach is to tailor the lessons to the child or adult`s needs and to make them enjoyable and interesting. Many of my students approached me because they were having difficulty with speaking under exam conditions. Lessons generally follow a text book to provide structure with additional material to ensure students improve grammar, vocabulary, verb tenses and have a better comprehension of complex sentence structures. However, I know that too much grammar can be overwhelming and so it is important to balance that with interesting discussions based on newspaper articles and debates about current French affairs or news.

I am a French native speaker. I moved to the UK fifteen years ago. I worked in a mixed secondary school for over thirteen years where I held various positions from classroom teacher to head of the language department and finally to head of sixth form. I loved all these different roles but the one that I am the most passionate about is definitely classroom teacher. My main subject is French and my secondary subject is Spanish. I have taught French to all years - from pre-school children to adults. I have many years of experience teaching French and Spanish GCSE. Even though, six months ago, I decided to take a break from teaching in schools, I am up to date with the latest requirements and demands of the new GCSE examinations. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring - I find it very interesting and rewarding.
As a qualified and experienced French teacher and native speaker, I am currently Head of MFL, and teaching from Year 9 to Year 13 in a private school (Edexcel GCSE, IGCSE and A Level, including both for AQA and Edxecel). I am extremely familiar with numerous platforms and interactive tools and I am able to make remote learning fun and effective, even with very young learners. That said I am available to teach face to face, something I enjoy very much. I communicate in French in an articulate, positive and sensitive way to pupils across age and ability ranges. Having taught abroad as well as foreign students in the UK, I am particularly skilled in teaching 2nd and 3rd language students with widely varying previous experience of the language, I have been an Examiner for IGCSE/GCSE French for 8 years.
