I have worked at a local high school in Wakefield which was once a Specialist Language College. I teach French, Spanish, German, Italian and Japanese from children to adults and have experience of teaching all languages from Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, GCSE, IGCSE, A-level, IB, Pre-U and Proficiency languages. I very much enjoy teaching languages and it is wonderful to see how well people progress. I have experience with all boards at all levels. I am originally from Bedale in North Yorkshire and attended local schools and attended University in Hull for my French degree and York for my PGCE. I also lived in France, in the Dordogne where I was an English Language Assistant. I very much enjoy languages and am so keen on different cultures as well as the language itself.

I am a French native speaker and I have been living and working in England for the past 30 years. Most of my work involves teaching my native language and also writing, editing and recording material to learn French as well as being an examiner for all main UK qualifications. I have extensive experience as a teacher, having taught from beginner to advanced level, ranging from primary school-age children to adults wishing to learn French for fun or work purposes. I have over 25 years experience as a teacher/tutor, helping students prepare for GCSE and A-Level exams, improving their listening and speaking skills. I also work as a Lifelong Learning Tutor teaching adults at all levels. I prepare adult learners for the DELF examinations and also provide support to students at degree level such as the OU and teaching qualifications in languages. I enjoy tutoring and ensure my sessions are tailored to the needs of the learner. My priority is that all my students enjoy learning French and make regular progress.
