A qualified SENCO with 5 years teaching in a school for children with Autism, with other diagnoses such as Tourettes, Attachment disorder, ADHD and PDA. Specialism in working with children's passions and encouraging them to learn though their interests. Offering support through KS1-3 including preparation for SATS. I am an experienced, qualified teacher, fully DBS checked. Over a number of years, I have taught all year groups from early years to year 6 and have experience of teaching children with a range of life challenges. For more than thirty years I have tutored English to GCSE level and maths to year 6. I have also tutored piano to children and adults with an age range from 6 years to 96. My years as a year 6 teacher and my tutoring experience have given me the opportunity to specialise in preparation for year 6 SATs and 11+. I have also successfully tutored adults to improve their reading and writing skills and offer creative writing lessons as well as more formal writing structure and grammar tuition. As a published author, I am passionate about helping children to discover a love for reading; I believe that the ability to read and write confidently can open up opportunities for children to reach their full potential in whatever sphere of life they choose to pursue.

More recently worked as a Consultant until 2019. Supports home schooling. Significant SEN experience.
