I am an enthusiastic, creative and imaginative ‘Outstanding’ teacher of English at KS3 and GCSE with excellent subject knowledge. Using creativity and bringing the text to life, I am skilled at motivating and stimulating my pupils to create memorable learning experiences in both English Literature and Language. As a teacher and Lecturer I have extensive experience at both school and FE level. Extremely committed to improving the educational outcomes of all students, I stretch and challenge those that I teach to make this happen. I am a current AQA Examiner and have a detailed and thorough knowledge of all assessment objectives needed to attain top grades at GCSE.

Has worked with gifted and talented students, and supported SEND pupils, also provided tailored resources specifically adapted to the needs of EAL pupils. Worked as an English Intervention Coordinator and an English and SEND Teaching Assistant prior to qualifying as a teacher. Teaches English Language and Literature, and Religious Studies from Key Stage 3, through GCSE and on to A level, also university level English Language.

I am a fully qualified and highly experienced teacher of MFL. I have taught both at secondary and primary school level in schools in the Liverpool area for nearly 20 years. I can offer French and German to GCSE and I am fully familiar with a variety of examination boards including AQA, WJEC, NVQ etc. I can also offer English Language and Literature to GCSE and am fully familiar with the AQA exam board. I have tutored for the 11 plus school entrance exam and have also taught key stage 2 and 3 literacy.

I am a highly experienced teacher, who is consistently rated ‘Outstanding’ in observations.Since then, I have designed revision resources for StudyRockets and become an established online tutor. Today, the 1-2-1 work strengthens my resolve to create a personalised learning. For several years, I have also coached 8-10 examiners in my role as Team Leader for AQA. I have an in depth knowledge of the English Language GCSE, in particular. In my permanent post, I was promoted to Key Stage Four Assistant, where I was in charge of the English Language and Literature GCSE. I later established the English Language A Level, in a new sixth form centre. I chose the AQA specification. I have a wide range of GCSE experience. For English Language, English Literature and English Studies GCSE, I have used the AQA, Edexcel and WJEC specifications, but I also have taught iGCSE English Language and iGCSE English Literature. I do have a background in Functional Skills as well.
