Bethany J

During lesson observations I have been graded at both grade 1 and 2 (outstanding and good). I believe this demonstrates that I have high level teaching skills. In addition to this I respond to feedback given during observation sand feedback given from learners as to how to improve things. Often I have asked observers to come back into the next session in order for me to implement the feedback.

I have a BA Hons Degree in Business (2:1 classification) and therefore have a sound knowledge of Business including an in depth understanding of Human Resources and its functions. I have a PGCE obtained through UCLAN and the East Lancashire Institute for Higher Education. I am a member of the IFL and log my CPD regularly. I also have a hard copy of all my training information for your perusal. Through references and student testimonials from the various colleges I have worked at previously, I am able to prove that I have successful teaching experiences in the 16 – 19 age group. Through studying the Every Child Matters publication during my PGCE course and through ongoing training, I am aware of what colleges, schools and the government are aiming to achieve. Most importantly in the 16- 19 year old category, I am aware of the need for youngsters to achieve economic wellbeing , stay safe, be healthy, make a positive contribution and above all, enjoy and achieve.
