I am a qualified teacher in Primary Education where my subject specialism is Special Educational Needs, with 15 years of school teaching experience. I am an engaging and inspiring Tutor who can transform the lives of all my students ... My approach is calm and encouraging, allowing each student to develop their skills at their own pace of learning. I embrace all opportunities tin teaching the Primary Curriculum, including EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Prepares students for SATs, 11+ and School Entrance Exams. I also teach Maths and English at Key Stage 3 and 4, helping tutees to exceed their predicted grades in both subjects by at least two grades.

I am a highly qualified, motivated Teacher of English and Special Educational Needs, with 25 years of experience. I taught at Queens` School, Bushey, Hertfordshire, where I was Deputy Senco, before moving back to my hometown of Doncaster to care for an elderly parent. I love 1-1 and small group work and would love to do a small amount of tuition if possible. I have taught English at Secondary level (11-18) and have a great deal of experience with students who find the curriculum challenging, including teaching at entry level. I have also taught basic numeracy, preparing students to tackle the Foundation Paper at Maths GCSE.

I taught for ten years at an adult education college; the last 3 of which I was curriculum lead for the 14-16 college where I was part of the team of teachers who achieved outstanding for our department. For the past 3 years I have worked part time as a private tutor. I have worked with all levels of learner form KS2 through to KS4. I believe in student-centred learning allowing students to actively participate in their learning. 1:1 tuition provides the student with the opportunity to engage with texts in a depth they often miss in the busy classroom environment
