Miss Lynne C

Qualified and experienced teacher of English Language and English Literature, with 21 years of experience teaching in local secondary schools, across all ability and age ranges. I started as a classroom teacher and then progressed to a Head of English and Assistant Head Teacher. Throughout my teaching career, I have continued to carry out tutoring and have found that alongside working on academic knowledge that building confidence is as equally important and this comes from finding out what a student is interested in, what they think they are struggling with and then using this as a foundation to build upon and strengthen English skills. Mr Phil G

I have been a former headteacher at two private and two state schools and was a founding director of a Free School in Newcastle upon Tyne. I have experience teaching across the age ranges [KS2-5] and have particular expertise in Biology & Chemistry. I have been teaching two home-educated students in preparation for their GCSE's and working with a number of Y5 & 6 students as they prepare for SAT Tests and/ or 11+ examinations for selective secondary schools. I use a variety of teaching styles and teaching materials and make my learning personalised to the needs of the students. Ms Rachael L

Qualified and experienced English teacher, with some experience teaching history, and previous experience as a private piano and music teacher. I have a love for literature, and enjoy teaching poetry, helping students with studying novels, and also helping develop creative writing in young people. I have worked with AQA exam board, in both the Literature and Language GCSE papers. In addition I have homeschooled my own children, using Edexcel iGCSE subject, and am familiar with the homeschooling exam process and options.
