Just a few of our English teachers in Heathfield

Mr Paul B

I see myself as an enthusiastic and enlightening tutor, having taught in both the private and State sector for over 20 years, whilst also in my twelfth year of exam marking and tutoring. I am a primary teacher who specialises in 11+ tuition for students in Years 5 and 6. My speciality is preparing students for entry into Independent schools at 13+, focusing on equipping students with the skills and experience needed to tackle V R, N V R, England and Maths. I believe that communication with parents, past paper guidance have been key to students I have tutored achieving entry to the schools that they apply for, schools including Roedean, Reigate College and Brighton College. I also believe that confidence is the key for a student to succeed. To this end, I assess a student prior to setting up the program of study for them, ensuring any gaps in learning are filled before moving onto giving the children experience of ISEB questions, and how to manage time during an exam.
