I am a teacher with 25 years of classroom experience, comfortable with either home visits or remote learning. My main specialism is History but I also teach English up to GCSE and have a lot of experience with Entrance Exams and independent school scholarships. I ran the entrance exam and scholarship programme at a large independent school in Surrey for 7 years. I also offer UCAS advice and help with personal statements, if needed. I am friendly, approachable and adapt my teaching to the learner's needs and will always go the "extra mile".

Mr William D

Secondary English Teacher in my fourth year of teaching, with most of my experience in ages 11-16 and currently at Hillview School, Tonbridge. I offer 11+ and 13+ preparation and tuition for KS3 and GCSEs. My dyspraxia has significantly helped with building strategies for SEN students. I previously mentored through a scheme, developing study skills such as organisation, motivation and self-esteem. I'm a film fanatic (1000+ films in my collection) and am presently converting my garage into a cinema. I have been very successful in igniting a love of storytelling for my students and hope to set up a creative writing magazine for them, as I did when I was a student myself at KCS Wimbledon. My epiphany to become a teacher came after coaching American football in Wembley for two years. I have lived in London for most of my life, but also lived in Louisiana for a year whilst completing my American Literature with Creative Writing degree at UEA and now call Tunbridge Wells home, where I live with my pregnant wife.
