Throughout my career to date I have endeavoured to bring great enthusiasm to all of my teaching and tutoring. As a result the vast majority of the students that I have tutored have gained high grades at GCSE and A-level, and most have continued to be successful in their university studies. While studying for my PhD I taught classes for two years to first and second year undergraduates at St. Andrews. I have also taught language classes to adult learners at Reading University Summer School, involving both beginners and intermediate students, and I am used to catering to the needs of students at various stages of their learning. My style is relaxed and I always aim to make learning enjoyable while promoting academic progress. I also encourage active participation and believe in allowing all students to comment constructively on their own progress and the different activities undertaken in lessons and tutorials. I can tutor students in English, French, History, Latin, Ancient Greek and Classical Studies.
