I believe that we are all learners and simply need an opportunity to learn skills to help us reach our true potential. My love for teaching stems from my pride in seeing those I have helped succeed. I am currently working as a teacher within a Birmingham school and am in charge of D&T and computing. I am in my 15th year of teaching and have worked in many schools in the Birmingham and Sandwell area. I have experience tutoring one to one over the last 15 years with expertise in Mathematics, English and 11+. I am an experienced teacher with a positive approach to learning and believe that teaching needs to be exciting in order for children to engage fully in their learning. My tutoring approach reflects my philosophy and I encourage students to take ownership of their learning through stimulating resources.

Miss Kelly H

I am currently an English Tutor at an Alternative Provision in Nottingham. There I teach students 1:1 due to their additional needs. I have over eight years’ experience working with children additional needs. I have done so in a range of settings including therapeutic schools, SEN schools and community projects. I have supported students with a range of needs including but not limited to autism, ADHD and emotional and behavioural difficulties. I have taught through all the primary key stages including EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I have also taught secondary age students who due to their additional needs are working to a primary curriculum. In my current role I teach Functional Skills and GCSE English. This includes entry level, level, and level 1.

Miss Hannah B

English teacher, currently at King Edward VI School, Stratford-upon-Avon. Experienced teaching English Language and Literature from 11-18. I have been tutoring students aged 8-18 since 2017; worked as classroom support in an adult education setting, and am a trained oracy coach and mentor for the English Speaking Union, delivering debate workshops for students from primary school right through to undergraduate. Offering tutorials at every level from 11+ to A Level. It was always my ambition to teach, and I have come to the classroom through a lifelong love of language and literature, which it is a joy to share with my students. I take pride in building a classroom environment founded on the skills students bring to the table, prioritising fresh ways to engage with texts and fostering an atmosphere of excitement.
