I am a qualified and experienced practising English teacher, with extensive experience teaching English at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 in both independent and state schools. I am also currently teaching on the teacher training course sharing Ofsted recognised Outstanding Teaching Practice. I have an excellent proven record of success at GCSE with 100% pass rate for the past five years at Level 4 above, with a number of students exceeding their target grades. Some of my students have also achieved the very top Grade 9 at GCSE in both Language and Literature and I offer both support and extensive stretch and challenge in my lessons. I am passionate about my subject and this is key in promoting student engagement and academic success. I am currently a Senior Leader for English GCSE exam marking which enhances and informs my teaching practice. As a tutor, I aim to create lessons which engage and I ensure my students are comfortable and at ease in order that they can produce work to the best of their ability.
