I have experience of teaching students in KS2 to KS5 English literature and language and have helped students of all abilities as well as SEN. Mr Anthony P

I have a passion for education and learning, and for English and History. I am very self-motivated, well organised, excellent at timekeeping, driven to achieve my goals and ambitions, support students to achieve theirs and engage with my own CPD. I have experience of teaching and supporting a diverse range of students, and experience of teaching in different educational settings. As part of my PGCE, I worked at City College Plymouth teaching Functional Skills and GCSE English to young adults and mature learners. Since then I have taught KS3 and KS4 English as a Supply Teacher, have worked as a Personal Tutor to a GCSE student and have taught EAL students at the Europa Summer School, the Meridian School and at Mercator. Since January 2020 I have been employed by Cornwall College to teach GCSE and Functional Skills English at Duchy College Stoke Climsland. Mrs Claire D

I am a national award-winning teacher of English and English Literature from KS3 to KS5. I have 28 years experience of in classroom teaching and have regularly tutored students very successfully at GCSE and A-level English and English Literature. I am also a senior examiner for AQA and OCR, leading teams of assistant examiners, so I am well-versed in the requirements of the exam boards. In addition to this, I am a mentor for newly qualified teachers, giving advice on lesson planning, delivery and classroom management, so I have a wealth of experience across the board. I am recognised as an outstanding and effective teacher who builds strong working relationships with her students. In my spare time, l have led expeditions to Malawi, Morocco and South Africa with my students, and engaged in educational projects abroad to support children to continue with their education. I have chaired the southwest panel of judges for The National Teaching Awards and was also a UK judge for the Outstanding New Teacher Award.
