A highly experienced and encouraging teacher working in Years 5 and 6 in a large, exciting, academic and sporty preparatory school. Having taught Year 1 up to Year 8 during my career, I have enjoyed my jobs in the state, private and international school systems and have a strong grasp of children's needs and expected progress at every step of their formative years. I have been a Maths Co-ordinator, Head of English and a Director of Studies, and my specialist subject is English, which I have taught to scholarship level at 11+ and 13+. Currently, I mark the exam papers of pupils hoping to attend my school and have assessed at 7+. My pupils have won places to a range of independent and public schools near Guildford and across the South East of England. Recently, I have completed specialist training in writing and reading 'at greater depth' and comprehensive spelling training. I look forward to instilling my pupils with skills and a sense of confidence, inspiring them with engaging, targeted, effective teaching.
