I have had a varied and enjoyable career as a teacher in a wide variety of settings during which I have taught children from Reception to Year 11. positions. I have always taken a particular interest in working with students with anxiety , SEMH and SEND. I have experience in tutoring students both face to face and remotely from Year 4 to Year 11. I have a calm and humorous approach which helps put students at ease ; I like to work with the students interests and leaning styles. I have been working with students to develop confidence and enjoyment in their learning. A key interest of mine is plugging gaps in learning as well as exam preparation for example 11+, SATS preparation, common entrance and maths GCSE.

Ms Tessa D

Teaches English, Maths and Science to all GCSE students plus excluded and SEN children throughout North Somerset and Bristol. Preparing structured 1 to 2- hour lessons for children who need a little extra help. All GCSE students welcome across all abilities. NB, some of my work includes those who have been moved to care homes or foster care and cannot concentrate on mainstream education within the school environment. 11-18 year old age bracket. Even though I specialise in English, I also teach all curriculum subjects for KS2 and 3 students. I also teach home-based children with ADHD, Aspergers and severe mental health problems. A certain amount of pastoral care and psychological empathy is also required on a daily basis. I now run an independent education business affiliated with larger organisations to cover most of North Somerset and Bristol. During the past 4 years I have taught Key stages 1,2, 3 and 4 independently throughout the days and evenings. A level support in English Language also available.

Mrs Georgia H

Qualified and experienced teacher of English. Currently teaching part time in a local Secondary School. I teach both English (GCSE and A-Level) and Core Skills which is low level literacy and numeracy skills to SEND students. I offer GCSE English and Foundation GCSE maths, primary English and Maths and 11+ tutoring. I have been an exam marker for AQA for the previous three years therefore my subject knowledge of these exams is second to none. I also lead the GCSE Re-sit class annually at the school for which I work, therefore a lot of my time is spent delivering material for the English GCSE exams - this is definitely my speciality.
