Welcome, my name is Katherine Neale. I am a fully qualified teacher as well as a certified specialist teacher who can assess and report on specific learning difficulties. I enjoy working with learners and seeing them achieve their goals. I appreciate that each student is unique, so I always strive to ensure my tutoring reflects their individual needs, aims and learning style. I endeavour to spark the student’s interest in a subject. I often find that the best way is to relate this to each student by highlighting its relevance outside of an academic context. Once that eagerness is there, confidence I believe is the key to a successful academic learning; I am generous with praise and do all I can to ensure my students feel empowered. I have taught a range of pupils from 5 to 18 years. I have considerable experience in a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, behavioural issues and pupils with English as an additional language. I also have worked with pupils with gaps as well as deepen their learning.

I am an English teacher. I recently worked at a secondary school in Bath. I have a great deal of experience at teaching English across the age and ability range at KS3 and KS4 and KS5. I had responsibility for Literacy across the curriculum and overseeing KS3 schemes of learning. In my previous position at an all boys’ school, I was in charge of KS4, so my specialism is GCSE English Language and Literature. I have worked with all of the major exam boards: OCR, Edas, Cambridge IGCSE and AQA. I have most recently taught AQA. i have also been an Examiner for AQA..
