Hello. I am a specialist English Language tutor and am currently helping year 10 and 11 students who need extra support in their GCSE years. I have had many students from year 6 to year 11 both attending school and home-schooled, who need a boost of confidence and self belief to show off their abilities. I love building a rapport with students and believe this is key to successful learning. I will discuss needs and worries with the student and tailor lessons to overcome present difficulties and sow the seeds for confidence to grow. The majority of my students are struggling with anxiety and are being taught at home. My own daughter was out of school for a number of years. The change to secondary school was a traumatic event for her and it was clear that alternative arrangements had to be made. We worked together at home to enable her to finally sit her exams and to move on to sixth form. School life is not for everyone. Unfortunately I see that it is the brighter, quieter students who often suffer.
